Rosa Troubadour

Calendar

Rosa Troubadour and Parfum Blanche are available throughout the summer season.

In the spotlights

The rose remains the absolute favourite for weddings. A true classic that never goes out of style, yet continues to expand in colour, fragrance and form. Over the past twenty years, the garden rose in particular has seen remarkable development as a cut flower. Fuller blooms, a romantic appearance and, increasingly, that recognisable rich scent. At Wans Roses, all of this comes together in a wide range of garden-shaped roses, each with its own character.

Wans Roses
Wans Roses is a family business with a long history. Roses have been grown since 1975, and today the third generation is at the helm, with Christian Wans and his wife Melanie. The nursery focuses entirely on distinctive varieties with the look of English garden roses. The range includes over 30 varieties, all carefully selected for quality, vase life and appearance. The aim is clear: roses with the charm of the garden, perfectly suited for the vase. Recognisable under the brand Royal Beauties.

In the spotlight
Last year, Christian introduced the white Parfum Blanche. A name that says exactly what it offers: a richly filled bloom with a full, pleasant fragrance that stands out immediately. Its classic white colour makes it widely versatile and an excellent choice for wedding work, where experience and scent come together.

This year sees the introduction of the novelty Troubadour. A soft pink to salmon-coloured rose with a beautifully full bud shape. Romantic and elegant, making it ideal for refined bouquets. The full assortment offers plenty of possibilities, from soft pastels to more striking tones. Thanks to the small-scale cultivation and wide variety, these roses are distinctive and seasonal, exactly what florists need to set themselves apart.

Cultivation

Cultivation with care and craftsmanship
Behind every rose lies a carefully managed growing process. At Wans Roses, cultivation follows the natural rhythm of the seasons. The first roses are cut from March onwards. This initial cut can be slightly softer in some varieties, as no additional lighting is used. A conscious choice that supports a natural growing process and ensures strong quality towards the peak season.

The greenhouse is heated using locally sourced wood chips, a sustainable solution that fits the nursery’s vision. In addition, part of the energy comes from their own solar power. The climate inside the greenhouse is closely controlled through ventilation and moisture management, keeping the plants in optimal condition. Harvest continues until November, after which the greenhouse is no longer heated, and the plants enter their natural rest period.

With a broad and distinctive assortment, Wans Roses demonstrates how tradition and innovation go hand in hand. For florists looking to work with fragrance, form and experience, these garden roses offer endless inspiration. A classic, continually reimagined.
